Totem Plus is pleased to announce the launching of its new type approved product TOTEM ECDIS, Electronic Chart Display & Information System.

TOTEM ECDIS is a computer-based navigation information system that complies with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations, IHO and IEC, and can replace paper navigation charts.

Totem ECDIS is type approved by DNV and is the first ECDIS approved according to the new standard IEC 62288, Implementing IMO MSC.191(79).

TOTEM ECDIS can be installed on NB as well as on existing ships, either as a single ECDIS or dual ECDIS (one as backup) configuration.

TOTEM ECDIS supports S-57 official IHO standards ENC vector charts, and is based on C-Map’s CM93/3 format.

New in TOTEM ECDIS is the payment mechanism, which is based on Dynamic Licensing. With Dynamic Licensing the user pays only for charts actually used, while TOTEM ECDIS grants users access to all available ENC data without charge. ENC charts are registered as “used” only when they have been loaded, and only when used they will be charged for.

Totem Plus is glad to announce that Totem IMACS received the type approval certificate from GL, the German certification Society Germanischer Lloyd. IMACS stands for Integrated Monitoring Alarm and Control System for engines and machinery onboard ships.

Totem Plus has delivered over 300 IMACS systems to major customers worldwide for all kinds of vessels, for both new buildings and retrofits. Among the clients there are known names such as APL, Zodiac, Tanker Pacific, V.Ships, Wallem Ship Management, Ray Car Carriers and more.

IMACS is an Integrated Monitoring, Alarm and Control System for engines and machinery onboard ships. The system provides many benefits, such as:

• PLC based system - Commercial Off The Shelf hardware

• Full redundancy of CPU, BUS and work stations

• Integrated tank gauging, power management, anti heeling, loadicator etc.

• History Analysis of data and alarms (Multi sensor analysis)

In addition to reliable, efficient and user-friendly technology, Totem Plus believes that a critical element in customer satisfaction is the availability of convenient customer support. Totem Plus has at its disposal a worldwide network of service companies, which are used to provide service support for its systems.

Totem Plus has conducted its first major training course in 2008, for new appointed service companies, from Spain, Gibraltar, Singapore, Korea, Germany, Poland and Greece.

These companies are an important addition to some 35 existing service companies. Technicians were assigned, appointed & certified to commission, service & perform annual survey for Totem Plus VDR/SVDR & IMACS- automation system.

Totem Plus is pleased to announce the relocation to our improved and spacious premises. This past year has proven exceptional for Totem Plus, whereby an ever-growing demand for IMACS systems, coupled with the approaching IMO-set timeframe for the VDR/SVDR, has spawned an increase in practically every facet of our company’s activities; production, R&D, customer care, expedited shipping, and a host of world-wide commercial exhibitions.

Totem Plus has always aimed in satisfying our customer’s needs for reliability and performance, and in order to ensure that our exceptional products and services continue to meet and exceed standards; it has naturally been deemed necessary to recruit. Fueled by a 50% increase in our employee-base, and bolstered by favorable future prospects; Totem Plus is pleased to open up 2007 with a new office.

Totem Plus has been awarded a contract for the supply and installation of integrated automation packages, onboard 1+1 of 2700 TEU Container vessels. Construction is in Gdansk SY, Poland, for first delivery in Sep. 2007.

Each package comprises of a Standard Engine Monitoring, Alarm & Control system together with multi sensor analysis, PMS, RCS, On-Line Stability Monitoring. Totem Plus IMACS consist of variable advantages such as: Use of available COTS hardware; PLC based; Full redundancy.

Full system will be assembled under GL class.

The contract has been secured based on the past experience with SY and owners and installations of over 400 NB and retrofit systems.

Totem Plus, manufacturer of Marine automation and navigation systems, has secured a contract for the engineering, supply and installation of a comprehensive Tank Level Gauging system for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO).

The FPSO of 92,802T dwt is currently being retrofitted by Jurong shipyards (Singapore) for Tanker Pacific Offshore Terminals. The Tank Level Gauging system will integrate into one system several functions such as inert gas monitoring, cargo temperature monitoring, ballast and cargo level gauging, draft gauging, and stress and stability calculations.

We are pleased to announce that Totem Plus' worldwide service network is now larger than ever before, spreading over 30 countries, with close to 50 business and technical representatives. Our extensive VDR Technician Training & Certification program allows us to maintain quick response with any technical issues, and our business representatives located around the globe offer worldwide sales and marketing capabilities.

In addition, Totem Plus has been training ship crews where VDR systems are to be installed, in order to both accelerate and streamline the installation and commissioning process. The crew is given guidelines regarding the necessary preparations which need to be performed prior to system installation, so that Totem's technicians are required on-site only for the final stages of installation, thus reducing set-up costs dramatically

Over 50 yachts took place in this year's Posidonia Cup race, including Totem Plus' team, which came in 5th place. With a total of nearly 400 crew members participating in the races, this year's race has been the biggest yet in this event.

The number of teams has more than doubled since the first Posidonia Cup in 2002.

Totem Plus was nominated by Zim Lines for its SVDR retrofit project, in collaboration with Alhut Yam which will be handling the installation and commissioning of the units. The first ship to be equipped with Totem VDR was the container ship Zim Asia, which hit the news recently after a collision with a fishing boat off Japan .

Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd is one of the largest container companies in the world. Zim offers transportation services along most of the major international trading routes to customers throughout the world.

Zim operates more than 80 vessels, mostly container vessels (of all types). Of these, 28 vessels are fully or partly owned by the company.

Totem Plus delivered in Nov. 2005 its latest automation package including IMACS, RCS and VDR systems to NB81618/13, a 6,500 PCTC built in Gdynia Shipyards. A total of 21 vessels are expected from this successful series.

Other series of car carriers built in Gdynia are 8213 (2 ships, already completed) and 8245 (6 ships, from which 2 ships already delivered). Totem Plus Automation systems (IMACS, RCS) and VDR are part of the design in all those ships (28 in total).

In Uljanik Shipyard in Croatia Totem Plus will install 6+2+6 Integrated monitoring control and alarm systems (Totem IMACS) for new 4,870 PCTC. The first systems will be delivered by the end of 2005 and will be continuously supplied during 2006 and 2007.

The success of Totem Plus IMACS systems on Car Carriers and the quantities involved makes Totem Plus a leading manufacturer of automation systems for such vessels.

Totem Plus has successfully finished installing its IMACS systems on 5 C-10 class APL ships.

The retrofit project of the complex systems was completed on schedule following the scheduled dry-docking of each ship. Each system contains more than 2000 input/output signals, uses 8 workstations and is capable of monitoring, control and analysis of machinery, generators, tanks, valves and more. The retrofit project was finished without any problems, and the ships are now fully operational.

The retrofit took place in Singapore’s Keppel and Jurong shipyards, between December 2005 and March 2006.

Totem Plus' has recently introduced two new and innovative design to its VDR/SVDR product. The VDR's Maint Unit Cabinet has been re-designed in 2 new form factors, to better suit various ship bridges. The new designs are especially helpful on existing ships in cases where the ship's bridge has limited space, and cannot fit a large cabinet.

The new cabinets' dimensions are:
