Safety At Sea International Awards 2011

Totem Plus has been selected by “Safety at Sea International” for its revolutionary new module in TOTEM ECDIS, the COLREGS ADVISER.

The Colregs Adviser is a unique Collision Avoidance system, a decision support tool that advises the OOW (Officer On Watch) what course change is optimal to avoid close quarters with all ships in the vicinity. The advise is based on all ARPA and AIS targets, with strict adherence to the International Regulation for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) stipulations.

The 5th annual Safety at Sea International Awards took place 23 June 2011 in London, aboard the historic HMS Belfast. The purpose of the award is to celebrate the role that safety managers and manufacturers play in saving and protecting life at sea across the international maritime safety market.
